FAQs

Who's reality begins?

Finding a job after finishing with an academic degree is not easy without showing you have experience. And even if an employment offer doesn't ask for it, those who do have it stand out from the crowd. Additionally, an academic environment can only approximate what it would be like working on a real software development team. Sometimes students are too busy trying to finish their academics so that looking for internships takes a second seat. But it it not too late, apply now to be considered for the next period at Apachos as an intern.

What's in it for me?

You will gain valuable experience that you can directly apply to your future career. You will be able to build up your resume or curriculum vitae (CV) with the hands-on, real-world experience that companies are seeking to even consider you for a job application. Then there is the potential of transitioning your intern status to one of an employee at Apachos with all the benefits where you will gain even more experience having greater responsibilities and opportunities for income based on revenue share from products being developed.

Where's the fun?

So "...and it can be really fun" may seem to contradict what you are used to when doing "work", but what if you are in a working environment where waste is minimized, productivity is maximized, feedback is immediate, technology is modernized, and doing what you really like to do -- you will quickly see the fun in developing web applications and doing it well. Don't believe it? Apply for a risk-free internship at Apachos!

Why the name "Apachos"?

It comes from the Greek word "απαχος" which means lean. Modern business processes seek to be lean, eliminating waste in order to maximize chances of surviving in a highly competitive marketplace. Software development processes in the same way seek to eliminate waste in order to give value to end users as quickly as possible. At Apachos we embrace the principle of being lean in order to maximize the business value of skills acquired and applications developed.
